Stockholm in 1972 followed by the workshop on Environmental Education at
Belgrade in 1975 and then an Inter Governmental Conference on the subject at
Tbilisi in 1977 organised by United Nations Environment programme (UNEP) and
UNESCO. The former resulted in what is known as the Belgrade Charter and from

for the protection of environment and Mother Earth.
