Please find enclosed herewith Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment, New Delhi and Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani duly signed by the Director of Research, MAU, Parbhani. Dr. G.D. Jadhav, Associ. Prof. Dept. of Entomology, MAU, Parbhani will be the contact person for dealing these matters.
Director of research Encl : a/a This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment, New Delhi and Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani 431 402 for mutual cooperation witnesseth in the following lines : 1. Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment, New Delhi has the appropriate technology for the transfer of knowledge in the areas of ecology and environment in general and environmental engineering, impact assessment, pollution monitoring and control, systems analysis, wildlife conservation, environmental education and environmental laws in particular. Hence the role of IIEE through this MoU will be: a) to present all the occasional monographs free of charge. b) to present all the research reports. c) to help prepare and revise Graduate, Master's and Doctoral courses on environment and related subjects. d) to guide in preparation of project proposals to be funded by different Ministries and other Bodies. e) to have programmes, seminars, workshops etc. jointly organised for protecting our environment. f) to allow the alumnis of the collaborating organisation to pursue the study and research programmes. 2. Marathwada Agricultural University, Parbhani 431 402 will agree with this MoU and in return cooperate with IIEE in the following ways : a) to present the publication, information and knowledge for mutual exchange of ideas in the areas of ecology and environment for its use by the students, faculty and others. b) to help IIEE in the curriculum design or in updating the existing curriculum in the emerging fields. c) to allow and register the Post Graduates of IIEE for pursuing Doctoral programmes (M.Phil/Ph.D.) with supervisors and guides from both bodies having the residency requirements to be mutually decided. This will help the alumnis of IIEE to conduct and continue research for the protection of environment in the neighbouring areas. The students admission to MoU will be through application & on merit basis. d) to implement the Greening programme in the concerned States with the help of local administration, industrialists, students and the faculty on the guidelines suggested by IIEE. This will help in having a thicker relationship with the State Government as well as the Industrialists for having a better industry-academics interaction for the absorption of the younger generation. In testimony whereof, the parties to this MoU have hereinto set and subscribed their hands for the continuance of the ( MoU). 7 November 1991 Prof. P R Trivedi, Chairman, IIEE Director of Research, MAU
