This Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed between Indian Institute of Ecology and Environment, New Delhi and Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad for mutual cooperation witnesseth in the following lines :
1. Indian Institute of Ecology & Environment has the right technology for helping Gujarat Vidyapith for the transfer of knowledge in the area of ecology and related fields like environmental education, environmental laws, impact assessment, pollution monitoring and control and systems analysis. IIEE wishes to present all the research findings and the printed literature of Gujarat Vidyapith free of charge. Hence the role of IIEE through this MoU will be :
a) to present all the occasional monographs free of charge.
b) to present all the research reports.
c) to help prepare and Graduate, Master's and Doctoral courses on environment and related fields.
d) to guide in GV in preparing projects for the funding from the Ministry of Environment, Ministry of Science & Tech. and the Ministry of HRD.
e) Joint Seminars/Training Programmes/Workshops sponsored by IIEE and GV.
f) Allowing the aluminis of GV to pursue their further study/research programmes.
2. Gujarat Vidyapith, Ahmedabad will agree with this MoU and in return cooperate with IIEE in the following ways through this MoU.
a) to present the publication relevant to ecology, environment, national development, peace studies and related subjects to the IIEE for the use by the students, faculty and researchers.
b) to help prepare curriculum for new courses to be launched by IIEE in the emerging fields in which GV has the knowhow.
c) Allowing the Postgraduates of IIEE to register in the M.Phil. or the Ph.D. courses with supervisors and the Guides from both IIEE and GV. This will help our Alumnis belonging to Gujarat and the neighbouring areas in conducting the research related to the control of pollution and the protection of our environment.
d) to cooperate in all the offerings as stated under the item 1 from a) to f) made by IIEE.
In testimony, the authorised signatories of both Indian Institute of Ecology & Environment as well as Gujarat Vidyapith put their respective hands for the continuance of this MoU.
